You won't want to miss this informative program led by Penni Ippensen, a local Licensed Clinical Social Worker. We're very excited to be presenting this program as this mental health issue touches many of our lives.

This program is open to the public. Please bring your friends! Light refreshments will be served

Quincy Poverty Project

Steve Bohnstedt, former Herald-Whig photographer, and leader of the Quincy Poverty Project, will speak at Christ Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. The Quincy Poverty Project is a documentary-style photojournalism project that shares the stories and struggles of individuals and families in Quincy, IL living below the poverty line.  As Bonhstedt shows his photographs and shares his experiences, you will learn about the lives of people impacted by poverty in our community and steps being taken to address factors that exacerbate the problems. The program is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Christ Lutheran is located at 333 S. 36th Street (corner of 36th and Holiday Drive.) Sept. 23: Outdoor Worship and Church Picnic

all church picnicMark your calendars for Sept. 23! For the first time in a long time we are going to have an outdoor worship service combined with our congregational picnic. Worship, the picnic, and fun & games will all take place on our property to the north of the asphalt parking lot.

Sept 28th Kids Night Out

police dogWe’re starting up Kids’ Night Out again with an animal-themed night. It starts Friday, Sept. 28, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Activities will include supper, craft (making an animal bank), Bible Story time with Grammy Corrine Sutcliffe, bounce house and playground time, and a special one-hour presentation by a K-9 officer from the Quincy Police Department with his/her dog.
